Janus Henderson Investors has announced the appointment of Charles Ejiogu as Executive Director, Client Group MEA, expanding its client coverage across the Middle East, Central Asia, and Africa.
According to the firm, Ejiogu will join in October 2026 and be based in Dubai. He is expected to report to Meshal AlFaras, Managing Director, Head of Middle East, Africa & Central Asia Client Group.
Janus Henderson said the new role will involve working with the company’s partners across Africa and supporting the development of its relationships throughout the region. The firm described the appointment as strengthening the regional team and reflecting what it called its ongoing commitment to expanding local capabilities for clients and partners across the Middle East, Africa and Central Asia.
Background in client relationship management
The company stated that Ejiogu brings almost a decade of experience in client relationship management across the Middle East and Africa. It added that he began his career at Goldman Sachs Asset Management in London in 2017, where he worked with central banks, sovereign wealth funds, and pension funds across the region.
Janus Henderson also said it began operations in the Middle East, Africa and Central Asia region in 2012, building long-standing relationships with clients and partners including sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, banks, wealth management firms and family offices.
Regional team expansion
The firm said Ejiogu’s appointment builds on its investment in the region and its growing on-the-ground team. It noted that earlier in 2026 it announced appointments including Sabrina Denis as Investment Specialist, based in Dubai, and Naveen Kumar M as Senior Associate Director. Janus Henderson also referenced the appointment of Baraa Amir as Executive Director and the opening of a new office in Abu Dhabi in 2025.
Comment from regional head
Commenting on the appointment, Meshal AlFaras said: “We are delighted to welcome Charles to Janus Henderson. His experience across the Middle East and Africa and his strong understanding of the region make him an excellent addition to our growing team. Charles will work closely with our partners across Africa and support our broader regional efforts as we continue to strengthen our capabilities and deepen relationships across the Middle East, Africa and Central Asia.”
The announcement did not include details on any changes to investment strategy or product offerings, and it did not specify an official start date beyond joining in October.
