Al Ansari Exchange, a subsidiary of Al Ansari Financial Services PJSC, said it is testing voice artificial intelligence (AI) in its mobile application and exploring how it could be used for more advanced, agentic AI applications as Dubai seeks wider adoption of autonomous systems.
In a statement dated 14 October 2026, the company said the initiative forms part of Al Ansari Financial Services’ participation in a Dubai government programme. The programme involves 11 Dubai-based companies pledging to integrate agentic AI into their operations, with support from Dubai Chambers.
Al Ansari Financial Services said it is assessing how AI could accelerate internal processes, including compliance functions, while aiming to operate in line with regulatory requirements and what it described as international best practices. The group also said it is seeking a “seamless, frictionless customer experience,” linking the work to its broader transition efforts in the context of Dubai’s push toward cashless payments.
The company added that it works with federal and local government entities, including the Central Bank of the UAE and Dubai’s Department of Finance, to support a move toward a cashless economy.
CEO links voice AI to future agentic tools
Rashed A. Al Ansari, Group CEO of Al Ansari Financial Services, said the voice AI effort is a step toward more advanced applications, including agentic AI. He said AI is expected to play a growing role in customer service and internal processes, and that the group’s priority is to develop solutions it described as reliable and scalable for a regulated financial business.
Al Ansari also said the group works closely with relevant UAE authorities to support national priorities and implement regulatory requirements across its operations.
Al Ansari Exchange says voice feature supports routine tasks
Ali Al Najjar, CEO of Al Ansari Exchange, said the firm has implemented voice AI in its app to help customers navigate services and complete routine tasks more easily. He said the company’s focus includes accuracy and clear guidance, along with access to its customer service team when personal assistance is needed.
Digital usage and cashless targets cited
The announcement said the voice AI work builds on a digital channel base the company has been expanding as Dubai moves away from cash.
Al Ansari Exchange reported that digital channels accounted for 27% of the total value of remittances in 2025, up from 23% in 2024. The company said this growing use of digital channels creates wider scope for tools such as the voice feature.
It also referenced Dubai’s cashless progress. Dubai Finance, according to the company, said on October 9 that the emirate’s cashless transactions index reached 90.1%, passing a 90% target set for 2026 under the Dubai Cashless Strategy launched in October 2024. The statement said the strategy’s final report credited partnerships among government entities, financial institutions and payment providers, and stated that cashless payment initiatives had contributed more than AED 8 billion to the emirate’s economy.
