Dubai Land Department (DLD) concluded the fourth Real Estate Day for Emirati Employment on Thursday, 29 October 2026, at Address Sky View, bringing together Emirati jobseekers, university students and more than 80 real estate companies.
DLD said the event was held as part of its efforts to increase Emirati participation in the real estate sector. The programme included access for attendees to representatives from participating companies, information on vacancies and entry requirements, and opportunities to explore potential career paths across roles and specialisms within the industry.
Senior officials and sector partners attend
The event was attended by HE Omar Hamad Bu Shehab, Director General of Dubai Land Department; HE Abdulla Ali bin Zayed Al Falasi, Deputy Chairman of the Emirati Human Resources Development Council in Dubai; HE Ahmad Al Room Almheiri, CEO of the Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment for Small and Medium Enterprises Development (Dubai SME); and HE Jamal Bin Thaniah, Chairman of Emaar.
DLD said the fourth edition was organised in collaboration with the Emirati Human Resources Development Council in Dubai, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council (Nafis), and Emaar as main sponsor. The department described the event as building on prior editions by strengthening collaboration with property developers, brokerages and real estate service providers to attract Emirati talent and support career development across the sector.
Training and education pathways highlighted
The Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) participated with a dedicated stand, according to the organisers, to showcase initiatives aimed at preparing national talent for real estate careers and informing young Emiratis about educational and professional pathways. HCT highlighted the Real Estate Diploma, which DLD said was launched in collaboration with Dubai Land Department earlier in the year.
According to the release, the programme has attracted strong interest across HCT campuses in Dubai, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah. DLD said the diploma combines applied learning with workplace training through a collaborative model involving government entities and real estate companies, including support for curriculum development, programme delivery and supervision of practical training.
DLD added that the initiative is intended to expand apprenticeship opportunities and employment pathways for HCT graduates, alongside plans to engage more real estate companies and institutions in creating training programmes aligned with evolving sector requirements.
The University of Dubai also took part, the organisers said, as part of efforts to strengthen links between academic institutions and the labour market, including careers in real estate.
Statements from DLD and partners
DLD quoted HE Omar Hamad Bu Shehab as saying that empowering national talent and expanding career opportunities for young Emiratis, particularly recent graduates, remain priorities for the UAE leadership. He said DLD is working to create “pathways” for UAE nationals to apply knowledge and skills and gain experience needed to progress in the sector, and added that DLD focuses on turning those priorities into practical initiatives with government and private-sector partners.
HE Abdulla Ali bin Zayed Al Falasi said, according to the release, that the event provides a platform for cooperation between private-sector organisations and government entities, helping empower Emirati talent and strengthen Emirati presence in a sector described as vital for employment and economic growth.
HE Ghannam Butti Al Mazrouei, Secretary General of Nafis, was also quoted by DLD as saying the initiative underscores the role of strategic partnerships in improving the competitiveness of Emirati talent, connecting national candidates with labour market needs and opportunities offered by the private sector.
Real Estate Empowerment Programme outcomes
DLD said the fourth edition builds on results from the Real Estate Empowerment Programme, which it stated provided more than 2,100 employment opportunities for UAE nationals between 2023 and 2026 in partnership with the private sector. The organisers said the programme forms part of DLD efforts aligned with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and the Dubai Real Estate Sector Strategy 2033.
DLD said it will continue to follow up on event outcomes and monitor recruitment opportunities in coordination with participating companies.
