John Crane, a flow control technologies business of Smiths Group, says it will use ADIPEC 2026 in Abu Dhabi to showcase sealing, digital monitoring and lifecycle solutions aimed at reducing emissions and preventing costly downtime, according to an announcement dated 29 October 2026.
The company said its exhibit will focus on what it describes as measurable performance results from operating environments in the energy sector. John Crane claims that applications using its sealing and related technologies have achieved up to 80% lower nitrogen consumption, emissions reductions of up to 40%, and about US$4 million in avoided downtime costs.
Sealing technologies and nitrogen use
John Crane said it will feature the Type 93AX coaxial separation seal, which it claims can reduce nitrogen consumption by up to 80% compared with conventional radial separation seals. It also plans to present the Type 28XP dry gas seal, which John Crane states has supported emissions reductions of up to 40% in demonstrated applications.
In addition to the sealing technologies, the company said its offering includes digital insight tools intended to help operators identify developing issues before they disrupt production. As an example, John Crane pointed to a documented LNG application in which it said its John Crane Sense Turbo helped avoid eight days of downtime, which it described as equivalent to approximately US$4 million in avoided costs.
Digital diagnostics and condition-based maintenance
The announcement also describes technologies aimed at managing operational challenges such as contamination, pipeline conditions, and asset wear, alongside what it calls more informed, condition-based maintenance. John Crane said specialists will be on hand to discuss how a more connected approach to equipment reliability could deliver both operational and environmental benefits for energy and related process industries.
Reliability engineering across the asset lifecycle
Beyond the technology demonstration, John Crane said it will present reliability engineering support, including maintenance and repair, retrofits, upgrades and training. The company framed these services as ways to extend asset life and manage total cost of ownership.
John Crane added that its services are supported by a network of more than 200 facilities across over 50 countries.
Company comment
In the announcement, Amjad Alqaqaa, Vice President for Middle East, Africa and India (MEAI) at John Crane, said that operators are “under pressure to improve reliability, control costs and reduce environmental impact at the same time” and that the company’s ADIPEC results show what it considers possible when equipment, digital insight and lifecycle expertise are applied to specific operational challenges.
ADIPEC 2026 participation
John Crane said visitors to ADIPEC 2026 can meet its specialists at Stand 3115, Hall 3 to discuss reliability, emissions and asset performance, as well as the company’s stated results across energy and process industries.
