Rakbank has announced the launch of a new Digital Equities proposition that brings global equities trading into its mobile banking app, the bank said in a statement on November 4, 2026.
Rakbank said the offering will allow customers to invest in more than 30,000 global stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) directly through the Rakbank app, with markets including the United States, the United Kingdom and Europe. The bank also stated that onboarding and trading are fully digital and built into the existing mobile banking experience.
The bank said there is no separate brokerage relationship to open and no forms to chase, adding that customers can open an investment account and begin investing through the same app used for everyday banking. Rakbank also stated that fees for US equity trades start from USD 1 per transaction.
Rakbank said access to UAE equities is planned for a future phase, indicating the scope of markets available through the app is expected to expand over time.
Built on Rakbank’s Digital Wealth ecosystem
According to Rakbank, Digital Equities is the newest addition to its broader digital wealth platform, which it described as bringing multiple investment products together inside a single app.
The bank said that, through the Rakbank app, customers can already access investment funds, bonds, structured products, precious metals, foreign exchange and digital assets, and that the Digital Equities launch further expands the wealth offering toward a more comprehensive in-app experience.
Rakbank also positioned the initiative as part of an effort to make wealth management more convenient for customers with different experience levels and investment objectives, while providing a single platform for building, managing and diversifying portfolios.
Partnership with GTN for market access and execution
To power the proposition, Rakbank said it has partnered with GTN, described by Rakbank as a global investment and trading infrastructure fintech. Rakbank stated that GTN provides the brokerage technology, global market connectivity and execution behind Digital Equities, enabling Rakbank customers to access international exchanges through the Rakbank app.
In a statement attributed to Damian Bunce, CEO of GTN Middle East, GTN said it is “proud to partner with Rakbank as it rolls out its wealth ecosystem,” and added that the companies were focused on user experience, expressing confidence in the venture.
Availability
Rakbank said the Digital Equities proposition is now live and available to customers across all segments.
The announcement did not describe any specific limitations for customer eligibility or trading features beyond the stated access to global stocks and ETFs.
