PERPTools, an AI-native decentralized perpetual trading platform backed by the team behind DEXTools, has raised $8 million across two funding rounds as it ramps up product development ahead of a planned token generation event. The company’s latest financing—combined with its stated focus on execution and integration—signals continued competition to bring perpetual trading, liquidity infrastructure, and AI-driven trading workflows closer to mainstream DeFi activity.
Key takeaways
- Funding move: PERPTools raised $8 million in total funding across a $3 million pre-seed and an $5 million seed round.
- Catalyst: The rounds fund an expansion of PERPTools’ decentralized perpetual trading infrastructure built on Orderly Network’s liquidity technology.
- Product progress: Three products are already live, including a mainnet non-custodial perpetual exchange and an AI agent marketplace.
- Implication for investors: With fundraising completed, the company says it will prioritize execution—positioning the platform to convert DEXTools’ existing user base into trading activity.
Funding details and valuation
According to the company, the pre-seed round raised $3 million at a $30 million fully diluted valuation. It was led by DEXTools Ventures and Orderly Network.
The follow-on seed round totaled $5 million at an $80 million fully diluted valuation, with participation from BigBrain Holdings, NEAR, Animoca Brands, Sfermion, and Shima Capital. Fundraising began in November 2025, with the pre-seed round closing in December and the seed round finishing in early 2026.
What PERPTools is building
PERPTools is building its platform around perpetual futures, which the company said account for more than $10 billion in daily trading volume across decentralized exchanges. The company’s approach centers on connecting execution and liquidity infrastructure designed for multi-chain trading without forcing users to bridge assets.
In its product stack, PERPTools uses Orderly Network’s omnichain liquidity engine. The company described the technology as orderbook-based infrastructure intended to provide shared liquidity across supported chains without requiring users to bridge funds.
PERPTools said the integration offers access to liquidity it describes as “institutional-grade” as it develops its perpetual exchange. Orderly Network, in turn, has positioned the partnership as combining an existing user base with its liquidity infrastructure.
Company leadership also tied the initiative to DEXTools’ established footprint. PERPTools CEO Evgen Tokarev said the execution layer is being built “for 30 million traders already inside DEXTools,” with Orderly’s infrastructure handling execution. DEXTools co-founder and CMO Frederic Fernández described PERPTools as an extension of the DEXTools ecosystem—from market discovery into execution—framing the platform as the place where trades happen without leaving the environment.
Products already live ahead of a token event
PERPTools said it has launched three products ahead of its planned token generation event.
Perp DEX is a non-custodial perpetual exchange live on mainnet. The company said it supports long and short positions, leverage, and cross-margin. It also said trades are settled through Orderly’s omnichain central limit order book.
AI Arena is positioned as a marketplace for autonomous onchain trading agents. PERPTools said users can deploy agents by specifying risk parameters, leverage constraints, and a strategy description in natural language. The agents execute trades using liquidity available on the Perp DEX, while other users can deposit USDC into agents. The company stated that rankings are based on verified 30-day onchain profit and loss.
The third offering, Tap Prediction, provides real-time prediction markets based on perpetual price feeds. PERPTools said users can stake from $0.10 and receive payouts of up to 25 times the stake. The company also stated the product has a prize pool exceeding $1 million and is generating revenue prior to the token launch.
Shift toward execution after two fundraising rounds
With both funding rounds completed, PERPTools said it is moving from fundraising toward product execution. The company’s stated plan is to build an integrated trading destination that combines market discovery and execution, using both its infrastructure and DEXTools distribution.
Looking ahead, PERPTools is targeting a Q4 2026 token generation event, according to the company, while continuing to expand its perpetual trading products and AI-based trading infrastructure.
Investors and users will likely focus next on how PERPTools scales from three live products into a broader execution-led trading destination—especially its ability to translate DEXTools’ discovery traffic into sustained on-platform volumes. The company’s upcoming milestones for Q4 2026 will also matter, including further updates to its integration with Orderly’s liquidity technology and any changes to how AI agents are onboarded and scored on-chain.
