Xrp Reclaims $1.13 As Traders Weigh Breakout Vs. Fake Bounce

XRP was trading around $1.13, up about 2% over the past 24 hours, after a rough stretch for the broader market. The token remains down sharply on longer timeframes—down 21.6% over 30 days and nearly 49% over the last year—raising the question of whether the latest bounce is the start of a recovery or just another short-lived move within a larger downtrend.

    Key takeaways

    • Price move: XRP rose modestly to around $1.13, gaining roughly 2% in 24 hours.
    • Catalyst: Support held in the $1.10–$1.12 area and coincided with reported expansion of Ripple’s payments ecosystem tied to the XRP Ledger.
    • Implication: Early technical stabilization and improving network usage could support further upside, but large-holder distribution may cap sustained gains.
    • Key risk level: A fall back below roughly $1.10 could expose additional support in the $1.04–$1.09 zone.

    What drove XRP above $1.13

Near-term price action appears to be consolidating after XRP defended the $1.10–$1.12 support zone, which has reportedly acted as a base for multiple intraday rebounds. Technical observations cited in the analysis point to compression around the 60-period exponential moving average on a 15-minute chart, with candles repeatedly testing and holding above that level. Compression after a directional move is often read by traders as momentum stabilizing rather than immediately reversing.

Order-flow signals also suggested reduced immediate selling pressure. The report referenced buyer dominance of about 56.8% in recent sessions, which—if sustained—can help explain why XRP managed to grind higher even as it remains entrenched in longer-term weakness.

On the daily chart, the relative strength index (RSI, 14) was described as sitting around 30, at the oversold boundary. Oversold conditions do not guarantee a durable reversal, but they can increase the probability of short-term rebounds—especially when near-term support levels hold.

Network and utility developments add support

Beyond technicals, the rebound narrative also ties to reported expansion in Ripple’s payments ecosystem. The article said Ripple expanded its partnership with Bitso, a major Latin American exchange, to support issuance of a regulated Mexican peso stablecoin called MXNB on the XRP Ledger. The stablecoin is described as operating on the XRP Ledger and integrating into Ripple’s payments systems.

For investors, the significance is that stablecoin issuance and payment rails can translate into more activity on the network, particularly in regulated cross-border settlement use cases. The report also indicated that XRP Ledger transaction volume moved back above a level of 1 million daily transactions after slowing earlier in the month. Rising transaction volume tends to be interpreted as improved network utilization rather than purely speculative trading.

However, sentiment data in the report pointed in the opposite direction. According to Santiment, XRP sentiment has fallen to its lowest level since October 2025. Historically, extreme pessimism has sometimes coincided with recovery phases, but the article cautioned that such signals do not guarantee sustained trend reversals.

Technicals improve, but whale activity raises questions

While the token’s price and network activity were described as showing early recovery signals, the article highlighted a divergence from large-holder behavior. It cited analyst Ali Martinez as pointing out that the TD Sequential indicator printed a buy signal on the three-day chart, which is typically interpreted as potential exhaustion of selling pressure over the short term.

Still, the supply backdrop described in the report was less supportive. It said the number of transactions above $1 million fell from 157 to 67 within nine days, a decline of 57.3% in large transfers. At the same time, the report referenced Santiment data showing about 60 million XRP sold or redistributed by whale wallets over the past week.

That combination—short-term technical improvement alongside continuing distribution from large holders—can produce uneven market structure. In practice, it may allow for rebounds, but it can also limit follow-through if substantial holders continue to rotate into gains or reduce exposure.

Bigger picture: levels to watch and what could determine follow-through

Technically, the article’s framework suggests that XRP’s short-term structure remains intact if it holds above the $1.12–$1.14 range. A breakdown below $1.10 would shift focus to the next support band between $1.04 and $1.09, where buyers previously stepped in during prior declines.

Looking ahead, market participants will likely track whether network activity sustains along with price strength, especially given the cited recovery in daily transaction volume. At the same time, investors will be watching whale-linked flows and sentiment measures, since the report indicates large-holder redistribution and extremely weak sentiment could remain headwinds. Any broader risk shifts in crypto markets—driven by macro conditions affecting liquidity and risk appetite—could further influence whether XRP’s bounce develops into a broader recovery or fades quickly.
