Sindan has signed a strategic partnership with New York University Abu Dhabi aimed at advancing research, talent development, and AI-powered manufacturing technologies in the UAE.
The collaboration was announced during Make it in the Emirates 2026 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre and reflects growing efforts across the UAE to strengthen advanced manufacturing capabilities and innovation-driven industries.
Focus on AI Manufacturing and Research
Under the Memorandum of Understanding, Sindan and NYU Abu Dhabi will collaborate on:
- materials testing
- qualification and standardisation
- advanced manufacturing research
- additive manufacturing technologies
- student development and training initiatives
The partnership will also create opportunities for internships, bootcamps, and research pathways designed to prepare students for careers in emerging industrial technologies.
Students will gain exposure to large-format additive manufacturing systems and practical AI-driven manufacturing processes, bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world industry applications.
Supporting the UAE’s Innovation Ecosystem
Sindan positions itself as a UAE-based hub focused on AI-driven manufacturing solutions across sectors including aerospace, healthcare, robotics, and energy.
The company says the collaboration with NYU Abu Dhabi is intended to support the UAE’s broader goals of strengthening local innovation, manufacturing resilience, and next-generation technology development.
Speaking during the announcement, Sindan Managing Director and CEO Heyuan Huang said the partnership aims to equip students with practical skills and deeper understanding of AI technologies while supporting academic excellence and industry innovation.
NYU Abu Dhabi Provost Arlie Petters highlighted the importance of industry-academic collaboration in preparing future innovators and supporting the UAE’s expanding technology ecosystem.

The agreement comes as the UAE continues increasing investments in artificial intelligence, advanced manufacturing, and industrial innovation as part of its long-term economic diversification strategy.
