TRX, the native token of the TRON network, extended its bullish run, rising 2.2% to $0.3221 at press time as traders weighed ongoing corporate accumulation against a string of ecosystem upgrades. According to Invezz, the move is supported by a notable uptick in volume and improving technical momentum.
Tron Inc., formerly SRM Entertainment, Inc., has been steadily adding to its treasury. The company now holds nearly 680 million TRX. On Monday, Tron Inc. disclosed it had acquired 156,819 TRX, following 158,848 TRX acquired on Sunday. By buying in small, steady increments, the company aims to avoid jolts to the market while building its position, effectively reducing freely traded supply and underpinning the rally.
What drove the move
Beyond the corporate accumulation, TRON’s ecosystem upgrades are expanding use cases for TRX. JustLend DAO, one of the network’s leading DeFi platforms, recently cut its Energy Rental fee from 15% to 8%, lowering transaction costs for users and improving the economics of operating smart contracts on the network. At the same time, the stablecoin $U expanded onto the TRC20 network, broadening the stablecoin activity on the Tron ecosystem. These upgrades improve network usability and are expected to attract more users and boost overall activity, which in turn supports TRX demand.
Market reaction
Technical signals align with the bullish narrative. TRX recently cleared its 7-day and 30-day simple moving averages, a sign of renewed upward momentum. Trading volume rose by more than 30%, indicating genuine buyer interest rather than a speculative spike. The 14-day RSI sits near 70, signaling strong momentum but approaching overbought territory and the potential for a pause if demand wanes. Key resistance is seen near $0.324, with additional hurdles at $0.334 and $0.341. On the downside, near-term support sits around $0.3189, followed by $0.309 if the pullback continues. For traders, the price action above $0.313 would be a positive signal for continuation.
Bigger picture
The price action comes as TRON maintains a plan to deepen DeFi activity on its network. The upgrades—lower costs for user operations and broader stablecoin liquidity on TRON—could lift network usage and attract more developers and users. If the trend persists, TRX could attract more buyers as the token acts as the primary utility token of the chain. Investors should monitor price response to resistance around $0.324, then at higher levels, and continue to watch volume and momentum signals for signs of durability in the move.
Closing: Look for continued treasury activity from Tron Inc., updates on ecosystem initiatives, and volume-driven follow-through to confirm the sustainability of the move.
