RAKBANK has launched a new business banking package aimed at female entrepreneurs in the UAE, positioning it as support for founders at different stages of building and scaling small businesses. The programme, introduced during International MSME Day and timed with the bank’s 50th anniversary year, combines transactional banking features with tools, insurance protection and community learning.
While banks in the region have increasingly built digital-first propositions for SMEs, RAKBANK’s “She Means Business” package is structured around more than account opening. It bundles payments, payroll enablement, foreign exchange and remittance benefits, alongside a limited-time fee waiver for eligible customers who activate their account by a specified deadline.
What RAKBANK’s “She Means Business” includes
The package is designed for new RAKBANK customers who are female founders operating as sole proprietors and individual LLCs. It is structured into five broad components: a digital banking foundation, everyday business tools, cost and financial benefits, built-in protection, and community and learning support.
1) Digital banking foundation
- A zero-balance business account, offered in both Islamic and conventional variants.
- Multi-currency capability covering AED, USD, GBP and EUR.
- Digital onboarding described as taking as little as 48 hours.
2) Business tools for day-to-day operations
- WPS-enabled payroll processing.
- QR-based payments powered by AANI.
- Complimentary access to a cloud-based application for up to four users, intended to help manage accounting, banking, payroll and VAT from a single platform.
3) Cost savings and financial benefits
- Four complimentary international remittances per month.
- Preferential USD foreign exchange rates.
- Monthly maintenance fees covered for 12 months, subject to terms and conditions.
4) Insurance protection via RAKInsurance partnership
- Insurance or takaful coverage that includes workmen’s compensation (including employer liability).
- Public liability protection of up to AED 1 million.
5) Community, learning and growth support
- Learning and business development opportunities, with topics including AI, leadership, pricing, cash flow management, marketing and business growth.
- Networking opportunities and knowledge-sharing forums with ecosystem partners and industry experts.
- An AED 1,500 discount on the annual CrunchMoms membership, described as a community connecting female entrepreneurs with mentors and new opportunities.
- A complimentary personal banking financial needs assessment to help founders align personal finances with business goals.
Limited-time offer and eligibility
RAKBANK said the package is available for female entrepreneurs who activate their account by December 10, 2026. For eligible customers, the package is offered free for 12 months, with details subject to the bank’s terms and conditions.
Eligible founders can apply by visiting the bank’s quick application page and selecting the RAKStarter Account.
Why this matters for UAE SME financing
Targeted SME banking products are becoming more common in the UAE, as banks look to support growing segments of the economy and compete on digital onboarding and embedded services. The “She Means Business” package reflects that broader trend by bundling core banking capabilities with operational tools such as WPS payroll enablement and QR payments, which can reduce the need for SMEs to stitch together multiple providers.
For founders, the inclusion of insurance and public liability coverage also signals an attempt to address risk management alongside cash flow. In addition, the learning and community elements indicate a shift toward ecosystem-led support, where financial institutions try to strengthen customer retention by offering more than accounts and transfers.
Still, the practical value of such packages depends on the terms, how the included tools integrate into daily workflows, and whether the programme’s benefits remain accessible after the 12-month period. Prospective customers are likely to compare the long-term fee structure, the scope of coverage, and any limits attached to remittances, onboarding timelines and app access.
Banking as “bundles”, not standalone products
From a business perspective, RAKBANK’s approach aligns with a wider movement in financial services toward packaged propositions that combine payments, compliance-related services such as payroll enablement, and specialist partnerships. For female-led SMEs, it also frames support around business needs that extend beyond traditional account features.
As the UAE continues to push for SME growth and entrepreneurship participation, programmes like this may become an increasingly visible part of how banks market themselves to underserved founder segments. The next test will be uptake and whether the package drives measurable improvements in operational capability, funding access and business outcomes over time.
