Epson has launched a new lineup of display and printing products in Dubai, positioning the offerings as an integrated ecosystem for home entertainment, creative activities, and day-to-day business output. The announcement took place at The Theatre of Digital Art (TODA), an immersive venue in the UAE that Epson used as a showcase environment for projector performance.
What Epson unveiled in Dubai
The company introduced two main product categories alongside a digital support platform:
LifeStudio projector series
Epson’s new LifeStudio range is designed around a “set-up and go” approach for home entertainment, as well as flexible installation options for different room layouts. The portable segment includes models referenced by Epson as the EF-61, EF-71, and EF-72, with features described by the company as including AutoFocus Pro for quick setup and built-in Google TV. Epson also highlighted built-in audio support with Bose in the portable range.
For larger screen setups, Epson also presented LifeStudio Grand and LifeStudio Grand Plus models in an ultra-short throw (UST) category, described as capable of projecting up to 150 inches and delivering a 4K PRO-UHD scale image. Epson framed these UST models as alternatives to traditional televisions.
EcoTank Home and Home Plus printers
On the printing side, Epson rolled out updated EcoTank models aimed at households, with a focus on high-capacity ink tanks intended to reduce refilling frequency and running costs versus cartridge-based inkjet printers. Epson stated that the ink tank capacity in its Home models corresponds to “79 cartridges” (as presented in the company’s materials), and positioned the lineup as suitable for schoolwork, remote work, and creative projects.
Epson also said the Home and Home Plus range uses its Heat-Free technology, and it pointed to the Epson Smart Panel app for mobile control. The company’s messaging also included claims of significant reductions in printing costs compared with cartridge printers, alongside an emphasis on maintenance-free operation out of the box.
EcoTank Business printers for small and mid-sized organizations
Epson’s Business segment focuses on lower total cost of ownership and operational efficiency for small and mid-sized organizations. Epson described new EcoTank Business printers as using high-capacity refillable ink tanks and its Heat-Free technology to reduce energy consumption compared with laser printers, while also highlighting fast print speeds and connectivity aimed at business workflows.
In its materials, Epson also linked the business range to reduced interruptions, a reference to the practical maintenance and refilling cadence that ink tank systems are designed to support.
The Creative Corner platform
Alongside the hardware, Epson introduced Epson Creative Corner, an online hub for printable templates. Epson positioned the platform as a way for users to access downloadable content for home, school, and office use. The platform is presented as offering templates in multiple languages, including English, French, Arabic, and Turkish.
From an industry standpoint, this moves the company beyond “device-only” sales toward a more service-oriented approach, where ongoing content support can help maintain engagement between purchases, consumables, and device usage.
Why TODA mattered for Epson’s launch
Epson’s selection of TODA in Dubai is notable because it signals how the company intends to market the LifeStudio projectors, not just as accessories, but as part of an experiential entertainment proposition. Immersive venues give vendors a setting to demonstrate image scale and perceived brightness, while also aligning projector marketing with lifestyle and media consumption trends.
Epson’s materials included references to creating “360-degree” immersive experiences at the event and to 4K cinematic-scale projection capabilities. While such presentations are best read as demonstrations rather than lab-verified performance metrics, they do reflect how projector makers are increasingly competing on the home cinema experience rather than only on specs.
Availability across the UAE
Epson said the new solutions will be available in the UAE starting in July through major retailers and key channels. For buyers, the immediate practical questions tend to be total running cost, support and consumable availability, and whether the platform features and connectivity meet existing office or home requirements.
Implications for the local market
For UAE consumers and business buyers, Epson’s combination of projectors, ink tank printers, and a template platform indicates a broader strategy: extend brand reach across multiple daily use cases, from entertainment to documentation and creative output. For SMBs in particular, ink tank printers continue to be positioned around efficiency and predictability in cost per page, while projector upgrades target discretionary spend and experiential living.
However, buyers still need to evaluate how these products fit specific workflows, including printing volumes, expected connectivity needs, and the layout constraints of UST projector placement. As Epson moves into this launch cycle, the company’s differentiators appear to be operational convenience, a tighter ecosystem of content and control, and an emphasis on energy efficiency and reduced maintenance demands.
