Dubai “win Your Home” Weekly Draws Begin 21 June
Dubai “win Your Home” Weekly Draws Begin 21 June

Dubai is set to kick off the first draw in a new citywide consumer campaign that links everyday retail spending to chances to win apartments, with weekly giveaways beginning on 21 June.

Announced as part of the broader Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) 2026 season, “Win Your Home in Dubai” is scheduled to run for 12 weeks, from 22 May until 30 August, and is targeted at both residents and visitors. The initiative is designed to encourage spending across a large network of stores while funneling retail activity into a structured raffle mechanism.

First winner planned for 21 June live event

The campaign’s first winner will be announced on 21 June during a live event at Dubai Festival City Mall, scheduled between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm. The organizers say this date starts the weekly draw calendar, with further draws planned for late June, July, and August.

For the first draw, the prize is a studio apartment from Binghatti Developers. Across the weekly rounds, the campaign intends to award studio apartments repeatedly, with a two-bedroom apartment included in the final draw.

How the weekly draws work, and what prizes are in scope

According to the announced schedule, draws will take place on 21 and 28 June, 5, 12, 19 and 26 July, and 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 August. The plan for the first 10 draws is to award one studio apartment per draw. The final draw is expected to include one studio apartment as well as a grand prize two-bedroom apartment.

Winners are set to be notified directly by phone and email, and the campaign says it will also announce results via Instagram under @dubaifestivals.

Entry is tied to spending at participating brands

The campaign participation structure is built around receipts and a scan-to-enter workflow. Residents and visitors aged 18 and above can take part by spending AED 500 or more at participating brands across the city. The initiative references partnerships with more than 1,000 participating brands and over 3,500 retail outlets.

Shoppers are instructed to scan a QR code in-store, which directs them to the official website where they upload their receipt to validate entry. Each eligible AED 500 spent generates one raffle entry. Additional AED 500 spending is expected to provide additional entries.

The campaign also states that entries remain valid throughout the 12-week period, meaning spending earlier in the program continues to count toward eligibility in subsequent draws. Continued spending can increase the total number of entries submitted by an individual.

Where DSS fits in: a retail promotion layered with a longer engagement mechanic

Organizers say the raffle runs alongside Dubai Summer Surprises 2026, which spans 2 July to 30 August. DSS is positioned as a 60-day calendar featuring retail promotions, dining events, entertainment and family activities.

Within that broader summer program, the raffle adds a distinct consumer participation layer. Instead of treating seasonal discounts as a one-time transaction, the campaign turns qualifying purchases into ongoing entries across multiple weekly draw dates.

That approach reflects a broader trend in retail engagement, where campaigns attempt to extend consumer interaction beyond traditional sale periods by tying transactions to repeat events. While DSS includes retail moments such as sales and back-to-school promotions, “Win Your Home in Dubai” aims to convert those seasonal spikes into a structured incentive that can play out week after week.

Backers and institutional role: DFRE and Dubai Chambers

The initiative is described as jointly led by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), part of the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), and Dubai Chambers. DFRE’s responsibilities include developing Dubai’s retail and festival sectors and supporting the emirate’s tourism positioning with year-round family entertainment and shopping.

Dubai Chambers, a non-profit public entity, supports Dubai’s business ecosystem and provides network access and value-added services for companies. In the context of “Win Your Home in Dubai,” the campaign’s institutional involvement points to a continued focus on retail sector activation, consumer confidence, and partner engagement.

Why this matters for Dubai’s consumer economy

A citywide raffle that runs for months and involves a large number of outlets can have measurable implications for retail visibility and footfall, particularly during the peak summer tourism season when spending patterns often shift. The multi-draw structure also encourages repeat participation, which can be beneficial for participating brands that want sustained consumer engagement rather than a single promotional burst.

For consumers, the format is straightforward, but participation is tied to qualifying spending thresholds. For businesses, the incentive is primarily about driving transactions and collecting documented receipts through a centralized platform that can later be used to measure engagement.
